You are 60 times more likely to be killed by a coconut than by a pit bull (and five times more likely to be killed by a cow).
See how often you can work that into a conversation!
In 2008, my husband Chris and I adopted our first pit bull, Toni. A little more than a year later, we brought home Téa, also a pit bull, as a foster dog. We never gave her back. This is a little insight into what life is like with Toni and Téa and what it really means to own pit bulls. (FYI: it's nothing like what you read in the news.)
